Lois, I can't believe I am just now seeing this! I'm so sorry I didn't see/reply earlier. I would hope that I would remember a woman I dated! And yes, I remember visiting your mom. I also remember your dog (was it Tuffy?) who loved to have his hind quarters scratched. What a wonderful story, and what a wonderful life your mom lived.

Thank you for taking the time to send me your comment. I have lost my virtual assistant so I haven't published anything in a while. I'm hoping to get that solved for in the near future.

I am well, married to my second wife almost 30 years. She had a boy and a girl, and I had a girl. Now we have 5 grandchildren (a girl, and four boys from 8 to 1). We are blessed and highly favored.

I would have hoped to see you at our 50th, but realize it falls on October 14 and we are vacationing with all of the family at that time. :( Be well.

Good Morning, Jim,
I don't know whether you remember me from Hanover College days. I read your blogs periodically and find them to be many times thought provoking and always relatable. This one in particular spoke to me. Do you remember visiting my mother in 1973 when she was in the hospital. (I'm giving your memory a workout!) She died almost three years ago at age 105. Her resiliency was to me phenomenal. When asked how she lived to be 100 she would say "Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff" and when confronted with a difficult situation she would say "This too shall pass". I hope I grow up to be like my mom.
All the best to you and yours! Keep up the inspirational writing!! Lois
